There are two ways to update the graphics display: by regenerating it and by refreshing it. AutoCAD LT performs a regeneration, called a regen, automatically after some commands.
Regeneration maintains and updates the drawing display and database. Use REGEN manually to recalculate the display resolution of your drawing, to update the display modes of objects, and to improve the speed of the database.
Refresh a view to improve its appearance by removing temporary editing marks called blips.
