Changing Views

When you work with the details in your drawing, you can magnify those areas for a closer view. At other times, you can view a larger portion of your drawing or shift the view to a different part of the drawing without changing the magnification.

After changing a view, you can return to the previous view and, to save time when you use several views frequently, you can save the views by name and then restore them for plotting or when you need to refer to specific details.

To change views quickly, AutoCAD LT also provides a navigation and magnification tool called the Aerial View window. Keep the Aerial View window open as you work to zoom and pan without choosing a menu option or entering a command.
