BOUNDARY Command

Creates a polyline from an enclosed area

Draw toolbar:
Draw menu: Boundary
Command line: boundary

The Boundary Creation dialog box is displayed.

If you enter -boundary at the Command prompt, AutoCAD LT presents options on the command line.

Define Boundary Set

Defines the set of objects that AutoCAD LT uses to define a boundary based on a pick point.

Island Detection

Uses objects within the outermost boundary as boundary objects.

Pick Points

Accepts all selections in the dialog box. The dialog box closes so that you can select the internal points that define the boundary object. Press ENTER when you finish selecting internal points.

Advanced Options (-BOUNDARY)

Refines the method AutoCAD LT uses to create the boundary.

Boundary set / Island detection / <eXit>: Enter an option or press ENTER

Boundary Set

Defines the set of objects analyzed when AutoCAD LT defines a boundary from a specified point.

New / Everything: Enter an option or press ENTER

Island Detection

Specifies whether objects within the outermost boundary are used as boundary objects.

Do you want island detection? <current>: Enter y or n, or press ENTER

Specifying no island detection prompts for the ray casting method.

Specify ray:
Nearest / +X / -X / +Y / -Y / Angle <current>: Enter an option or press ENTER

Exit

Returns to the initial prompt of the BOUNDARY command.

Internal Point

Creates a boundary from existing objects that form an enclosed area. Select a point inside the area.
