Base point <current>: Specify a point or press ENTER
Use BASE if the current drawing is to be inserted into or externally referenced by other drawings and needs a base point other than 0,0,0.
When you insert or externally reference the current drawing in other drawings, AutoCAD LT uses this base point as the insertion base point.
Related Commands: INSERT inserts a drawing into the current drawing.
BLOCK creates a block definition from selected objects
and sets a base point. XREF links a drawing to the current
drawing by creating an external reference to the other drawing.
System Variables: INSBASE stores the insertion base point.
