LiveText Educational Resources
"The Home Page for K12 Education"
If you are new to this site, read What is LiveText? and the Navigation Guide to LiveText's organization. If you are new to the World Wide Web, read the Beginners Page and the Online Text Guide. NOTE: LiveText is indexed for grades 4-12. For K-4 Resources, try Dolly & Buster's K-4 Main Page (concentric.net).
The LiveText resources on ILTweb are being developed by the Institute for Learning Technologies, Teachers College, Columbia University, to provide K-12 related resources to educators, students and others; and to support the Insitute's K-12 school based projects, including the Advanced Media in Education Project, a long-term effort to integrate technological innovations into a practical process of education. Specific initiatives include the Living Schoolbook Project, a New York State funded collaboration among Columbia University, Syracuse University and NYNEX and the Harlem Environmental Access Project, an NTIA funded collaboration between Columbia University and the Environmental Defense Fund.
We believe our network-related projects will foster educational reform as described in our White Paper, ILT: A Pedagogy for the 21st Century.
