WinRamTurbo
(Lite Version)
Main Menu:
- File Menu - From the file menu you can optimize
system memory, clear the windows
clipboard, tweak the windows internal file
and disk cache settings, toggle the settings
screen, run compact window mode, apply changes for
settings, and exit the program.

- Help Menu - From the help menu you can view general program
information, visit the website, send
mail to the author, submit bug reports,
and view the tip of the day dialog. The tip of
the day dialog displays various helpful text
about program usage and features.

Tool Bar:
Here you can access common functions without having to open a
menu. This provides quick access to the features
you use the most. This includes optimizing memory, clearing the
windows clipboard, adjusting the cache settings, apply program
changes, help, and toggling the settings screen display.

Memory Groupbox:
- Available Ram Meter
Indicator - Shows the
percentage of the available system memory. The color
scale indicates a range of currently available
ram. The program icons in the system
tray, task bar, and title bar change colors that reflect
the available ram also. When memory optimization occurs,
the program icons change to reflect this event with a
lightning bolt accross the chip of the icon.
- Memory Load Piechart - Indicates the current memory load index of the
system ram. The more memory that is in use, the higher
this value will be. This indicator will change as
programs are loaded and unloaded.

Memory/Resource/Swap file
Groupbox:
- Total Ram - Indicates the total system memory
as reported by windows.
- Free Ram - Inidicates the currently available
system memory.
- Mem Load - Indicates the system memory load
index.
- GDI Free - Inidicates the windows Graphical device
interface resource that is
free. This indicator may be turned off.
- Sys Free - Indicates the windows system resource
that is free. This indicator may be turned off.
- User Free - Inidicates the windows user resource
that is free. This indicator may be turned off.
- CPU Load - Indicates the current cpu load.
- Swap File - Indicates the current windows swap file
statistics, amount in use, available and total swap.
- Uptime - This indicates the total time elapsed
since windows was booted.

Settings Groupbox:
The settings window is shown when you toggle settings from the
file menu or click the Settings button on the toolbar.
- Mem to Free trackbar - This control allows you to adjust the amount of
memory you want freed when optimizing ram. It also has
percentage indicator above to reflect the percentage of
the setting.
- Trigger Level trackbar
- This control allows you to
adjust the trigger level that is required for the amount
of free ram to fall below for automatic memory
optimization to occur. It also has percentage indicator
above to reflect the percentage of the setting.
- Start with Windows
checkbox - If this control is
checked, WinRamTurbo will start automatically when
windows boots up.
- Start Minimized
checkbox - If this control is
checked, WinRamTurbo will start minimized either to the
taskbar or system tray.
- Minimize to Tray
checkbox - If this control is
checked, WinRamTurbo will go to the system tray when it
is minimized else it will minimize only to the windows
taskbar.
- Hard Flush checkbox - If this control is checked, the Mem to Free
setting will be satisfied when optimizing ram.
- Show Uptime in Title
bar checkbox - If this control
is checked, the windows elapsed time is shown in the
title bar instead of the available ram.
- Splash on Optimize
checkbox - If this control is
checked, a small splash screen will popup when
WinRamTurbo is optimizing system ram.
- Shrink to Title bar
checkbox - If this control is
checked, WinRamTurbo's main screen will become a title
bar when you click on compact mode from the file menu or
toolbar. Otherwise the main screen will shrink to show
only the total ram, free ram, mem load, free resources,
and cpu load. To restore the main screen, simply double
click on the title bar.
- Show Free Resources
checkbox - If this control is
checked, the windows resources that are available are
shown otherwise "Off" is
displayed. Toggling this setting off will reduce CPU
load. Also the free resource indicators are automatically
disabled when WinRamTurbo is minimized to an icon.
- Disable Sounds - If checked, Sounds alerts are not heard for
certain program events.
- Disable CPU Monitor - If checked, the Cpu monitor is disabled.
- Don't Optimize when
> xx % of CPU Load - This
controls how much the cpu load level must be below for
optimization to occur.
- Optimize Hot Key - This is a global hotkey that can be used from
anywhere in windows. This allows you to optimize system
ram when hitting the hotkey combination on the keyboard.
- Optimize every x min.
- Setting this control above 0
(zero) will cause WinRamTurbo to optimize ram every x
minutes regardless if the trigger level has been reached.
It has a range of 0 - 60 minutes.

Main Menu:
- File Menu - From the file menu you can optimize
system memory, clear the windows
clipboard, tweak the windows internal file
and disk cache settings, run compact window
mode, apply changes for settings, check for WinRamTurbo
Upgrades, and exit the program.

- Help Menu - From the help menu you can view general program
information, visit the website, send
mail to customer support, submit bug
reports, and view the tip of the day dialog. The
tip of the day dialog displays various
helpful text about program usage and features.

Statistics Tab:
This shows all current memory status, windows page file status,
system resources status, windows uptime.

Settings Tab:
The settings window is shown when you click the settings
tab.
- Target Free
RAM slider - This
control allows you to adjust the amount of memory
you want freed when optimizing ram. It also has
percentage indicator above to reflect the
percentage of the setting.
- Auto Recover
Level - This control
allows you to adjust the trigger level that is
required for the amount of free ram to fall below
for automatic memory optimization to occur. It
also has percentage indicator above to reflect
the percentage of the setting.
- Start with
Windows checkbox - If
this control is checked, WinRamTurbo will start
automatically when windows boots up.
- Start
Minimized checkbox -
If this control is checked, WinRamTurbo will
start minimized either to the taskbar or system
tray.
- Show Uptime in
Title bar checkbox -
If this control is checked, the windows elapsed
time is shown in the title bar instead of the
available ram.
- Splash on
Optimize checkbox - If
this control is checked, a small splash screen
will popup when WinRamTurbo is optimizing system
ram.
- Show Free
Resources checkbox -
If this control is checked, the windows resources
that are available are shown otherwise "Off"

- Stay on Top
checkbox - If this
control is checked, WinRamTurbo will stay on top
of other windows on the desktop.
- Disable Auto
Optimization checkbox -
If this control is checked, WinRamTurbo will not
automatically optimize ram.
- Show Tips at
Startup checkbox - If
this control is checked, WinRamTurbo will show
the tip of the day dialog when it starts.
- Disable Sounds
checkbox - If this
control is checked, the sound alerts will not be
heard for events.
- Disable
Startup Splash Screen checkbox - If this control is checked, no Splash
Screen is shown when WinRamTurbo starts up.
- Exit groupbox
- This allows you to
exit WinRamTurbo any number of ways. Just Quit
will do nothing more than exit WinRamTurbo. Log
Off quits WinRamTurbo and logs off the current
user from windows. Power Off quits WinRamTurbo
and powers down the computer if supported. Reboot
quits WinRamTurbo and reboots the computer.
System Shutdown quits WinRamTurbo and shuts down
windows.
- Opt Timeout
(min) - This controls
when WinRamTurbo will timeout if memory is not
optimized before the timeout setting. This
prevents WinRamTurbo from trying to release
memory for extended periods of time when memory
consumption is high.
- Optimize Hot
Key - This is a global
hotkey that can be used from anywhere in windows.
This allows you to optimize system ram when
hitting the hotkey combination on the keyboard.
- Exit Hot Key - This is a global hotkey that can be
used from anywhere in windows. This allows you to
quit WinRamTurbo and windows.
- Optimize every
x minutes - Setting
this control above 0 (zero) will cause
WinRamTurbo to optimize ram every x minutes
regardless if the trigger level has been reached.
It has a range of 0 - 60 minutes.
- Priority - This will manage the windows priority
setting of WinRamTurbo.
- Tune - Clicking this button, WinRamTurbo can
automatically set your ram settings for you.
- Tune Ram
Settings Dialog -
Use this dialog to let
WinRamTurbo set your memory settings for you. By
clicking the Go button, WinRamTurbo will cycle
through for the optimum ram settings.

- Cache Dialog -
Use this dialog to adjust the
windows internal file / disk cache for improving disk I/O
under windows. Not available under Windows NT or 2000.

Info Tab:
This shows general program information.
