Contacts
The contacts database in i.Scribe allows you store names and email addresses in the
folder view. These items are used by i.Scribe to match email's to names and visa
versa in the recipients list of an email.
To create a contact item, click Contacts | New Contacts or right click a contact
folder and click New Contact. This will bring up the contact form:
Enter in all the detail and click Ok. Contacts by default are created in the
Contacts folder but you can move them elsewhere using drag and drop.
Importing contacts
- Microsoft Outlook:
- Open Outlook
- File | Import and Export
- Select "Export to File" (Next)
- Select the "Contacts" folder (Next)
- Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows)" (Next)
- Enter a file name to save as (Next)
- Finish!
- Open i.Scribe
- Contacts | Import | Outlook Contacts
- Select the csv file from Outlook
- Netscape:
- Open Netscape
- Communicator | Address Book
- File | Export
- Set the "Save as Type" to "Comma Separated (*.csv)"
- Enter a file name to save as
- Open i.Scribe
- Contacts | Import | Netscape Contacts
- Select the csv file from Netscape
The imported contacts will be in the contacts folder of i.Scribe
