Wine & Food Trivia

What is a "flabby" wine?

It certainly doesn't sound like a flattering description, nor is it meant to. Flabby wine lacks definition and key structural components, like tannin or acid. In other words, it hasn't spent a lot of time at the gym. If acid, the element that makes wine taste lively and crisp is lacking, the result could be a flabby wine. Are acids to wine what hand weights are to arms?!
