Step 1 - Open your crooked photo |
Open your crooked photo. Take note of where the image's true "horizon" should be. |

Step 2 - Select the Straighten Tool |
From the Tools toolbar, select the Straighten tool-- by default it's grouped with the Deform tool. |

Step 3 - Adjust the Guideline |
Notice the guideline on the image. Adjust the guideline along the axis you wish to straighten. Drag the guideline to move it. Adjust the guideline angle by dragging its ends, or by entering a value in the Angle numeric edit control in the Tool Options palette. |

Step 4 - Apply the Correction |
Click Apply in the Tool Options palette, or double-click inside the image. The image will rotate so that the guideline becomes the new horizon. |

Notes and Tips: |

Although similar to the Rotate command, this is more powerful in that you graphically straighten the photo based on its contents. |
