Testing and
Uploading Preferences
Favorite Browser - Specify
the path of your favorite browser (not your default browser).
Compress HTML Files on upload
- (Off by default) This option compresses files as they are uploaded
to your server. (See Uploading files)
The original file on your disk IS NOT modified, just the copy
that ends up on the server. Normal compression will result
in an 8% to 20% savings in the file size. Compression of the HTML
files has the following benefits:
- Faster Uploads.
- Faster Downloads for visitors to
your page.
- Makes it harder for people to "steal"
(read) your html code since there are no returns in the document.
(It will appear as one long line of HTML)
Compression consists of removing characters
that are not needed and replacing some tags with shorter tags with
the same functionality.
