If you choose the Secure Installation, the following settings are used:

·	NO Shortcuts to STARR Commander and Help are created in the Programs section

·	NO files visible after reboot (STARR File Protection)

·	The logging engine process is NOT visible (and thus can NOT be stopped!) in the Process Viewer

·	You are prompted to enter a password for STARR Commander and the log file. All log files are encrypted with 256 bit AES encryption.

Good Monitoring software must run uninterrupted, regardless of what happens on the monitored machine. With the new STARR File Protection STARR offers the most advanced security feature found in any monitoring software. All STARR files are not only hidden somewhere on the system (like with all other monitoring software) but they are made truly invisible for any Windows program. Even booting in Safe Mode (F8) does NOT display the hidden files.
