A little like Power Point for Flash, Powerbullet Presenter allows you to create cool-looking presentations complete with animations, transitions and more, all without the need for any technical expertise. You can drop in sounds (WAV, mp3) and images (PNG, GIF, JPG) or existing Flash files and even record a voice track as you go. When youve finished, a few clicks are all you need to export your creation to an industry-standard Flash file. It could also be used easily to create Flash-based Web pages and being freeware, its certainly worth a look.

Huminity is a free Instant Messenger that takes a different approach; contacts are arranged in an animated tree-like structure that lets you search and browse through it, viewing the connections between people the world over. The idea behind it is social networking, where you can identify the path between you and anyone else using the software. It can import your contacts from MS Messenger, ICQ, Yahoo and Outlook, and uses email addresses to create the contact tree and links between. Best of all, within a few minutes of running it you can be chatting with people youve never met before, even though you may well have friends in common.

This little power toy from Microsoft allows you to have four virtual desktops on the go at once. Each desktop can have its own wallpaper and applications, and an icon in the taskbar allows you to switch easily between them. You could, for example have Word running on one desktop, several browser windows on another and a graphics editing program on yet another. Boldchat is a Web-based solution for allowing friends or customers to chat with you or a representative of your organisation via a link on your Web site.
