aipirinha to everybody! No I'm not mad, or at least not at all ;-),
I'm speaking of the NEW AMIGA, yes sir a brand new Amiga is coming from Phase 5 and it'll be fantastic.
Caipirinha is the name of the new custom chip a piece of silicon able to handle screen in 1600x1280 24bit,
to play 44Khz 16 bit audio, to do a lot of fantastic things, in short able to resurrect Amiga and KILL PC!
A powerful Power PC processor (forgive the pun!) will help A/Box ( this is the name of the prototype ) being the best home computer since now.
This marvellous computer ( should I call it Work Station? ) will be avaible during the first quater of 1997 and will cost
aroud 3000 DM for hi end and around 1500 DM for lo end. And this'isnt all, last month Phase 5 has
presented at IPISA ( the italian Amiga programmers conference ) the Power PC board for A4000 and A1200 Tower and it's
impressive! This other miracle from Phase 5 will be avaible during spring '97.
Well the Amiga future now is clear and we hope it'll become clearer every day! Merry Christmas & happy new year...

sto parlando del NUOVO AMIGA, ebbene si un nuovo Amiga sta arrivando dalla Phase 5 e sarà fantastico.
Caipirinha è il nome del nuovo chip custom, un "pezzo di silicio" capace di aprire schermi in 1600X1280 a 24bit,
di gestire audio a 44Khz 16 bit e di fare un mucchio di altre cose, in breve capace di far risorgere Amiga e di DISTRUGGERE i PC!
Un potente processore Power PC aiuterà A/Box ( questo è il nome del prototipo ) a diventare il miglior home computer sulla faccia della Terra.
Questo magnifico computer ( o dovrei chiamarlo Work Station? ) sarà disponibile entro il primo quarto del 1997 e costerà
attorno ai 3 milioni per la versione hi end e intorno al milione e mezzo per la lo end. E questo non è ancora tutto, alla fine di Novembre
infatti Phase 5 ha presentato ad IPISA ( la convention italiana dei programmatori Amiga ) la sua scheda accelleratrice basata sul Power PC per
A4000 e A1200 Tower ed è inpressionante! Quest' altro miracolo della Phase 5 sarà disponibile durante la primavera del '97.
Beh per ora è tutto ma il futuro di Amiga è già più roseo e speriamo che lo diventi ogni giorno di più! Buon Natale e felice anno nuovo...
