To paint freehand:

Select the picture you want to edit.

On the Effects menu, point to Paint Brush, and then click Freehand.

Under Click a paint tool, select a painting tool.
- Select a color.
Click a box in the color panel.

To choose a custom color, do the following:
- Click More color choices.
- To change the color hue, move the yellow circle around the outside of the color wheel.
- To change the color saturation, move the blue circle around the inside of the color wheel.
- To change the color brightness, move the blue circle toward or away from the center of the circle.
- Click Done.

Under Click a brush size, select a brush size.
 | Optional: Customize your paint settings.

Click Customize paint settings.

Under Click a brush shape, click the brush shape you want.

To increase the transparencyAn effect that enables the background to show through a picture or object. of the stroke, drag the transparency slider to the right.

Under Click a paper texture, click the paper texture you want.

Click the back arrow.

Drag the cursor across the picture to paint freehand.

Click Done.

To change the paint color to one you already see in the picture, click More color choices, click the color in the picture, and then click Done.
