If your camera is one of these three formats, you can open photos directly from your camera into Digital Image Pro. For other cameras, Digital Image Pro works with your camera software to downloadTo copy files from an external location, such as a Web site or digital camera, to a computer. the photos from the camera.
To open photos from a virtual disk drive camera:

Connect your digital camera to your computer, and then turn on the camera.

On the File menu, point to Get Picture From, and then click Digital Camera.

Under Click a camera or drive, click the drive that corresponds to your camera.

Click Download.
The file browser opens, displaying the photos on the camera.

Select a photo.

To select more than one photo, press CTRL, and then select the photos you want.

Click Open.
To open photos from a WIA-compliant camera:

Make sure that you have installed all the drivers and software that came with your camera.

Connect your digital camera to your computer, and then turn on the camera.

On the File menu, point to Get Picture From, and then click Digital Camera.

Under Click a camera or drive, click a camera.

Click Automatic Download.

Click Download.
The photos stored on the camera are displayed in the workspaceThe gray area that surrounds the canvas..

Click Download all pictures.

To download an individual photo, drag the photo from the workspace to the Tray.

Click Done.
To open photos from a TWAIN-compliant camera:

Make sure that you have installed all the drivers and software that came with your camera.

Connect your digital camera to your computer, and then turn on the camera.

On the File menu, point to Get Picture From, and then click Digital Camera.

Under Click a camera or drive, click a camera.

Click Automatic Download.

Use your camera software to download the photos to a folder on your computer.

After the photos have downloaded, close the camera software.

On the File menu, click Open.

Navigate to the folder on your computer or on the network containing your photos.

Select the folder, select the photo, and then click Open.

Your camera must be connected and turned on before you start the digital camera task, or it will not appear in the list of cameras and drives.

If you've connected your digital camera to your computer, but can't see your pictures, make sure the connections are secure, the camera is turned on, and the batteries are charged. The camera might not start downloading unless its batteries are fully charged. Some cameras are equipped with an A/C adapter that you can use instead of batteries.

If your camera does not appear in the list of cameras and drives, or if you receive an error message when you click Download, start your camera software from the operating system Start menu.

Tip
To select multiple pictures, press CTRL, and then select the pictures you want.
