Adjust tint

Tint is a shading of color. If a photo has a color cast, such as an orange cast from interior lighting, you can correct it by adjusting tint. You can adjust the tint on your whole picture, as shown here.

You can also adjust the tint on individual objects, or individual areas of your picture.

To adjust tint automatically:
  1. Select the picture or object you want to adjust.
  2. On the Touchup menu, click Adjust Tint.
  3. Click either the Object or the Whole Picture tab.
  4. Click Tint auto fix.

    Click an area on the picture that should be white.

  5. Click Done.
To adjust tint manually:
  1. Select the picture or object you want to adjust.
  2. On the Touchup menu, click Adjust Tint.
  3. Click either the Object or the Whole Picture tab.
  4. To select a color, drag the Color slider.
  5. To select how much color to use, drag the Amount slider.
  6. Click Done.

Tip

To adjust tint quickly, try using Tint auto fix first. If you are not satisfied with the results, click Reset, and then adjust the tint manually.

To adjust tint using the tint brush:
  1. Select the picture or object you want to adjust.
  2. On the Touchup menu, point to Other Photo Repair, and then click Tint Brush.
  3. Select a brush size.
  4. Select a brush style.
  5. To select the color you want, drag the circle around the color ring.
  6. To adjust the tint of the color, adjust the tint slider.
  7. Drag the cursor across the area you want to change.
  8. Click Done.
