Archive pictures in the Gallery

Archiving your pictures makes them easier to locate and use at a later time. Digital Image Pro enables you to archive pictures in the GalleryA cataloging system in which pictures can be organized. using custom categoriesA group of items within a collection in the Gallery., which you can name and organize in any way you choose.

The Gallery is not a storage location for pictures; it simply stores information about pictures, including the:

• File name
• Storage location (hard drive, CD, or other storage device)
• Categorization
• Keywords
• Date you added the picture to the Gallery

Later, when you want to find a picture in the Gallery, you can search for it using any of these search criteria.

When you add a picture to the Gallery, Digital Image Pro creates a thumbnailA miniature replica of a page or photo. of the picture. You will see these thumbnails when you browse the Gallery.
