 Convergence
 Convergence means the positioning of the three electron beams to each other. When these beams lay directly on top of the other it is optimal to make a clear white pixel. If this is not the case, there will be coloured edges and less sharpness at lines and signs.  To check the level of the convergence distortion for your monitor, the Mitsubishi Monitor Test offers four test patterns:

Please also check for coloured edges at the corresponding test patterns. By switching off the single colours, you can more specifically examine which colour is not positioned exactly.

High quality monitors offer the possibility to adjust the convergence using the OSD.
