Changing a file's extension is as simple as right-clicking a file and selecting a file type from a list of entries as defined in the system registry.
ChangeExt adds a submenu "Extension: xxx" (where 'xxx' is the file's extension).
Keeping the menu selected for a few seconds then pops up a list of file attributes associated to the selected file (see figure at right).
Selecting the Type menu item or the Change item of the Attributes submenu brings up a "File Information" dialog for the selected file.
To change the extension, either select an item from the "Registered file types" list or type in the extension in the "New extension" field.
Hit OK to continue with the rename, or Cancel to abort.
