I conducted the following interview in May 1999 via e-mail with Jeremy Colson, drummer for the hot new prog-metal band Dali's Dilemma.

(1) Alright Jeremy, please introduce yourself to the class and tell them why they should buy your album.
Buy our album so we can become famous and marry hot chicks with fake tits.

(2) How did you guys first get together? Were you in any other bands of significance before this one?
We all met at a Star Trek convention. Before that, I was in a Backstreet Boys cover band.

(3) I can really hear the precision Metallica-styled riffing in several of your songs. Who else besides them would you describe as big influences for this band?
As far as the heavy stuff goes, Meshuggah is a cool new band, Fear Factory, Sevendust.

(4) Who were your musical heroes when you were just a wee lad?
My first musical hero was Neil Diamond; can't you tell.

(5) Besides yourself, who are the five best rock drummers out there today?
The five best Rock Drummers. Danney Carey of Tool, John Tempesta of Rob Zombie, Deen Castranova, Vinnie Caluita, Rob Stankiwicz of Haji's Kitchen.

(6) So when the hell are you going on tour? If you could tour with any band, who would you pick?
We are going to tour soon. Iam not sure exactly when. If I could tour with any band? I would say the Spice Girls, as long as they helped me warm up before the show.

(7) Does the current musical scene still suck or are we finally hearing some decent music again?
There is some stuff that sucks. But I am happy to see that heavy music is making a comeback.

(8) When are you guys putting up a website?

(9) What's your favorite piece of rock n' roll memorabilia?
Favorite piece of Rock n Roll memorabilia? My picture with Danny Carey at the Namm Show.

(10) Alice Cooper, Blackie Lawless or Marilyn Manson?
Alice Cooper.

(11) Jackie Chan or Chow Yun Fat?
I would say cream of sum yung guy.

(12) Stone Cold Steve Austin or Bill Goldberg?
None, I think that shit is for pussies.

(13) Are you a True Metal Person?
I belive so.

(14) What's the songwriting process like in Dali's Dilemma?
Basically, whoever is writing the song has the leading word on where the song should go. Alothough everybody is allowed there opinion.

(15) Star Wars Phantom Menace... standing in line or staying at home?
Probably staying at home. I'll watch a cool porno instead.

(16) What was the first concert you ever went to? First album?
First concert? Europe at the Warfield. First album? Ozzy Ozbourne, The Ultimite Sin.

(17) Rob Halford or Tim "Ripper" Owens?
Rob

(18) The glam rock revival... whip out the eyeliner or dear God not again?
Whip out the eyliner

(19) What's the last good book you read? If you don't read books, then tell us about your favorite porn mag.
Last good book? The way of the Peacfull Warrior.

(20) Anything you'd like to say to the legions before you cap off this lame interview?
I would like to say with all the charity causes out there, many people feel like they are blowing there money. So if you are going to give money away. Go to your nearest strip club and help out a young blond. She might be just a few dollars away from here new breast job!
