Note: A plug-in will be required for your device. To get the plug-in, go to Options/Add New Features. Your internet browser will launch. Click on the Portable MP3 Players button, then click on the Player you own. The plug-in will download and install automatically with no further action required by you.

To download music to your portable device:

  1. Connect your portable device to your computer as instructed by the devices manufacture and open MusicMatch Jukebox.

  2. Create a Playlist of music, or open an existing playlist.

  3. Go to the Options menu and choose Send To Device. The Download to Portable window will open.

    • In the Files to Download (left) window you will see the tracks in your Playlist. In the Portable Device Memory (right) window you will see the current tracks stored on the device, if any.

    • If you need to clear the memory of your device first, choose the button Reformat. It will ask you to confirm the clearing of the device memory. Click OK. ClickTip!

To delete just a few, but not all tracks from your portable device, highlight the track to delete then click the button in the upper right of the screen. That one track will be deleted.

  4. To add tracks from your playlist to the device, select tracks by clicking the Select All button, or by holding the Ctrl button and clicking multiple tracks. To add more tracks see the ClickTip!

To help you squeeze more music into your portable device, click the option Bitrate Limit and choose a smaller bit rate size. This will, on the fly, automatically shrink a larger bit rate file (for example, 128 kbps) to a smaller bit rate file! (for example, 96 kbps)

It takes more time to download when using this feature...but you can load alot more music on your player without changing the files on your hard drive!

The smaller the bitrate, the smaller the file, the more you can fit in your device.

  5. Click the Download to Player button.

Once the tracks have downloaded, click the Done button to exit.
