Breakfast
The traditional Japanese breakfast is a bowl of rice, a bowl of Miso soup and a side dish. Miso soup is made by dissolving fermented soybean paste in fish or seaweed stock. Tofu is one common ingredient, but Miso soup can have many other different kinds of ingredients in it. In modern Japan, many people also eat Western-style breakfasts including toast and coffee.
