Description: CDDA Driver is a BeOS device driver which offers a simple to use, consistent high level interface to SCSI-2 CDROM drivers. It's main feature is the ability to copy digital audio from compact disc over the SCSI bus. It actually allows the end user to use the "Save" feature in the CDPlayer application. (A modified version of CDPlayer is available from the URL given above.) This is an update to the CDDA Driver Demo 1. This version has more audio playback features and a few bug fixes. SONY CDU-76S drives now work perfectly. Other CD-ROM drives might also work now.

Description: SCSI-2 tape device driver for BeOS. Ptape has been tested on the following SCSI-2 tape drives: HP-C1533A (4mm DDS-2), Exabyte 8205 (8mm) and Wangtek 6130-HS (4mm DDS). Both rewind and no-rewind devices are supported as /dev/scsi_tape_0x0 and /dev/scsi_tapenr_0x0 respectively. Fixed and variable block lengths are supported. A command line utility, tapecntl, is included for positioning and erasing tapes. Media changer (tape library) support is planned for a future release.
