BeOS高性能、クロスプラットホーム目的のデーターベースの発表。MacOSのものよりも300％から500％早さの処理能力を持つ。


SANTA CLARA, Calif. (May 10, 1997) - NeoLogic System社は、本日BeOS対応NeoAccess5.0の発表を行った。Neo Access はNeoLogic社のクロスプラットフォーム対象データベースエンジンである。Neo AccessはすでにBe、Windows、Mac、Be、Unixのプラットホーム用に出版されている、上級アプリケーションソフトとして、デベロッパーに使用されている。

BeOSsの新しい高性能のファイルシステム及び、機能拡張されてたマルチスレッドを利用しながら、実験考察では、Neo AccessはMacOSの類似商品と比べて３倍から５倍の速さで処理する事が出来き、自社ではこれをPowerPC基盤の最も優れた性能をもったクロスプラットフォーム対象データベースエンジンとしている。

このNeoAccessデーターベースエンジンは限られたリソースの中でも、少ないメモリーで且つ効果的にデータ量の多いアプリケーションを設計する場所をデベロッパー達に提供する。

また、NeoAccessは現在彼らが使用しているツールを潰すことはなく、そして簡単な操作でフレームを作成でき、設計時間を大幅に短縮出来る。加えて、このソフトの使用によって無駄な時間を省くことにより、スケジュールを立て易く、また、全体的なコストの削減につなげられる。現在、NeoAccessエンジンに含まれているアップリケーションは、Netscape Communicator（メール及びニュース）と、NetObject Fusion Web サイト作成ツールである。そして、今、NeoAccessはBeOS開発にも利用出来る。
