1.
Customize your
pages to change the text and add any images you want.
All of your FileMaker Pro site's files are displayed in the
Site Editor window which is now open. Your home page is
called default.htm. Double-click
a page to open it in Edit Page mode. |
2.
Consolidate the
files that make up your site by clicking the Consolidate
button on the Site Editor toolbar. Consolidating will copy
images or other content files you have used from other
folders and place them in your site folder. Any references
to this content will be updated automatically to ensure that
none of your media is missing when you upload your site to a
web server. |
3.
Copy your
site to a web server. You can copy your site folder to the
FileMaker Pro host computer using your network software to
mount the server volume and copy your files onto it. Copy
your site folder into the Web folder, which is located in
the FileMaker Pro application folder. You can delete this
instructional file (read_me.htm) if you wish so that it is
not copied with the other pages in your site. |
4. Access your FileMaker-connected site by typing the following in the "location" field of your browser: http://IP_address/ If there is a default.htm file in the Web folder, it will display in the browser. If the default.htm file for your FileMaker-connected site is in a subfolder of the Web folder, then you must point the browser to the sub folder. For example: http://IP_address/sub_folder/ See the FileMaker Pro documentation for more information
on using custom web sites with FileMaker. |
