A+ MathMAT is a game aimed to teach and challenge addition and
subtraction to children and adults of all ages.
A+ MathMAT is different than the traditional flash card type games
in which the player decides the problem that fits the answer.
For example, traditionally, a problem could be: Find the answer
for 5 + 7. Of course, there is only one correct answer, which is 12.
With A+ MathMAT, the player is given the answer, and it is up to
him or her to find the question. For example, if A+ MathMAT gives
the answer 11, the player can use 5 + 6, 8 + 3, or several other
answers. This method enables the player to think of many possible
solutions to the problem.
Start the game by selecting either Addition or Subtraction and a
game difficulty level.
When the game starts, it presents you with an answer. The player
must choose the two numbers that add or subtract get the answer. Quite often,
there are multiple solutions to obtain the answer. For example, if the
current game is Addition and the answer is 12, the player must find the
two numbers that add up to 12. The two numbers could be 5 and 7, 10 and 2,
or several other combinations.
There are a total of 10 problems. The player is given approximately
20 seconds to solve each problem. The scoring is determined by the amount
of time it takes the player to correctly find the solution. The maximum
points per problem is 1000. A perfect score is 10000.
