Repairing log database

Outpost Firewall log may become corrupted, for example, when your system crashes or shutdowns unexpectedly.

To examine the current log database state:

  1. Open the Outpost Log Viewer

  2. From the File menu click Repair log database

  3. Examine whether the database Has errors or not

If the database reports to have no errors, but the logging system still operates abnormally, try to repair it by completing the following procedure:

  1. Open the Outpost Log Viewer

  2. From the File menu click Repair log database

  3. Select Mark database corrupted and repair on the next OS startup

  4. Click OK and restart your computer

If this does not help, select Mark database as corrupted and create a new one at the next OS startup to have the logging system to delete the current log database and create blank one after you restart Windows.
