Movie Export Options

The Movie option of the 'Export' Panel allows you to control the generation of the .swf file for the Test in Player, Export SWF and Export HTML commands.

Panels-Export-Movie

When you export a Movie using File | Export | SWF, SWiSH generates a .swf file. When you export a Movie using File | Export | HTML, SWiSH generates both .swf and .htm files. The options shown above pertain to the .swf file.

Preload Content
This is the value for Preload Content that all Scenes in the Movie will use. You can override the value for individual Scenes or objects. The default setting is At Preload Action. See the Selected Object Export Options for more information about Preload Content options.

Share Fonts
This sets the default value for Share Fonts for all Scenes in the Movie. However, individual Scenes or Text Objects can override these defaults. The default setting is Across Movie. See the Selected Object Export Options for more information about Share Font options.

Text Defined As
This sets the default value for whether Text will be exported as Text or as individual shapes for each letter in the Movie. This sets the default value for Text for all Scenes in the Movie. However, individual Scenes or Text Objects can override these defaults. See the Selected Object Export Options for more information about Text Defined As options.

Text Effects Use
When Complex Effects are applied to Text Objects, SWiSHmax needs to break the text into individual objects for each character within the .swf file itself. This option specifies what sort of objects SWiSHmax will break the text into. Changing this setting can affect the overall .swf file size. The default setting is have colored and scaled objects.

Use Bounds As Text Hit-Area
When a button has a mouse or self event, uses the overall bounds of the text as the active hit areas instead of the individual letter shapes.

Image Quality
Only applicable to JPEG compressed images that specify image quality, specifies image quality up to 100%. 0% would reduce the quality of the affected images to 0% resulting in a small file size but very poor quality. 100% would not change the quality for the images, and would use the settings for each individual image. This sets the default value for the Image Quality setting for the Movie. However, individual Scenes or Objects can override these defaults.

Note: Each image can be set to ignore these image quality settings, see the Shape Object Properites for more information.

Image Resolution
Specifies an images resolution up to 100%. Reducing an images resolution will reduces the images file size but add a mosaic effect to it. For an 100x100 pixel image, resetting the resolution to 50% will make it export as a 50x50 pixel image scaled by 200% to maintain the original image size. This sets the default value for the Image Resolution setting for the Movie. However, individual Scenes or Objects can override these defaults.

Shape Quality
Specifies the shape quality up to 100%. Reducing a shapes quality will shift the vertices and control points in a shape to allow for smaller file size. Reducing quality will reduce the detail in the shape and change curvature of curved edges. Setting a shape quality of 0% will reduce the shape quality of all affected shapes to 0%, so they will become a single simple shape. Setting a shape quality of 100% would not change the quality for the shapes, and would use the settings for each individual shape. This sets the default value for the Shape Quality setting for the Movie. However, individual Scenes or Objects can override these defaults.
