BORLAND JBUILDER 2

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- March 24, 1998 -- Rogue Wave Software (NASDAQ: RWAV) and Borland International, Inc. (NASDAQ: BORL) today announced at JavaOne a licensing agreement to bundle part of Rogue Wave Software's Blend.J product, a collection of over 30 pure Java components, in the Borland JBuilder product line.

    Rogue Wave Software's Blend.J product is one of the products found in the recently announced StudioJ, which is a powerful compilation of Rogue Wave's Java products: Grid.J (a 100% Java port of Stingray Software's Objective Grid product), Blend.J, Chart.J (a charting class library that gives you unprecedented flexibility in extending and customizing charts to your specific needs), and DBTools.J (a database library with which you can develop Enterprise-quality Java database applications fast).
