The Inprise Deployment Server, which ships with JBuilder 2 Client/Server Suite, allows Java developers and information system managers to centrally deploy, manage, and update their Java applications across Corporate Information Networks. IS managers benefit by being able to significantly reduce application deployment and maintenance costs while remote clients gain immediate and reliable access to the most current version of any application.

Java applications are installed on a server, and are immediately available to zero administration clients on any platform. The Deployment Server gives IS administrators the convenience to immediately distribute software updates, as well as monitor application usage and access.
