This workshop shows you
how to remove redeye from a photograph of
a person or pet.

Use the Zoom tool
to magnify the redeye area.
- Click the Zoom tool.
- Position the Zoom tool cursor over the
redeye area, and click to zoom in.

Use a mask selection
to isolate the red pixels. This lets you apply corrections to
the red area without affecting the rest of your image.
Click the Circle Mask
Tool.

- On the Property Bar,
do the following:
Set the Mask style to
Normal.
Enable the Anti-Aliasing
button.
Click the Additive Mode
button.
- Drag a circular mask selection around the pupil area.

You are now ready
to remove the redeye. To do this, you will use the Color Hue filter.
- Click Image menu, Adjust, Color Hue.
- In the Color Hue dialog box, enable the Shadows, Midtones,
Highlights, and Preserve Luminance check boxes.
- Set the Step slider to 100.
- Click the More Cyan button.
- Click OK to apply the changes to the original image.

To restore the image
to view the changes you have made do the following:
- Click Mask menu, Remove to remove the mask.
- Click View menu, Zoom 100% to view the image at the size it
was before you corrected the redeye.
