You can create a realistic
cloth texture using the special effects filters included in Corel
PHOTO-PAINT.

The sample image
is filled with a grid that can be altered by special effects filters
to create a three-dimensional cloth weave effect.
Apply a blur with the Jaggy Despeckle filter, and then scatter
the pixels of the image using the Impressionist
filter.
- Click Effects menu, Blur, Jaggy Despeckle.
- In the Jaggy Despeckle dialog box, set the Width and Height
sliders to 3, and click OK.
- Click Effects menu, Artistic, Impressionist.
- In the Scatter section of the Impressionist dialog box, set
the Horizontal slider to 1.
- Set the Vertical slider to 2, and click OK.

Apply the Impressionist
filter two more times, and invert the image.
- Click Effects menu, Artistic, Impressionist.
- In the Impressionist dialog box, set the Horizontal slider
to 2, and the Vertical slider to 1, and click OK.
- Click Effects menu, Artistic, Impressionist.
- In the Impressionist dialog box, set the Horizontal slider
to 1 and the Vertical slider to 2, and click OK.
- Click Image menu, Transform, Invert.

Use the Color Balance
filter to add color to the image and the Emboss filter to give
it a textured look.
- Click Image menu, Adjust, Color Balance.
- In the Color Balance dialog box, set the Cyan-Red slider to
-40, the Magenta-Green slider to -50, and the Yellow-Blue slider
to -80 and click OK.
- Click Image menu, Adjust, Color Tone.
- In the Color Tone Control dialog box, click the More Contrast
thumbnail twice, and the Darker thumbnail once, and click OK.
- Click Effects menu, 3D Effects, Emboss.
- In the Emboss Color section of the Emboss dialog box, click
the Original Color button.
- Move the Depth slider to 1, and the Level slider to 100, and
click OK.

Experiment with the settings of the Impressionist and Emboss filters

Fewer applications of the Impressionist filter creates a smoother
