In this workshop you'll publish a drawing to the World Wide Web (WWW).

Using the new Insert Internet Objects command you can create and design you own personal Web page.


  1. Click Edit menu, Insert Internet Objects.
  2. Select Text Edit Box from the list.
  3. Position the cursor where you want to insert the object and click to place the object.
  4. Repeat step 1 and select pop-up menu.
  5. Position the cursor where you want to position the object and click to place the object.
  6. Continue inserting internet objects as desired.

Linking objects in your drawing to a URL is useful for linking to other Web sites.


  1. Select the "MAIN" object with the Pick tool.
  2. Right-click and click properties.
  3. Select the Internet tab.
  4. Select TopOfPage1 from the URL list.
  5. Click Apply All to assign a URL to the object.
  6. Close the Object Properties window by clicking the X in the top right corner of the window.

You can also work with text objects when designing your HTML drawing.

  1. Select the button graphic behind the "MAIN" text.
  2. Click Edit menu, Duplicate to create a duplicate of the button.
  3. Select the duplicate object and move it behind the first object.
  4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to create as many menu buttons as desired.
  5. Select the Paragraph text frame at the center of the screen.
  6. Click Text menu, Make Text HTML compatible.

When you have completed designing your Web page, you can save it as a template for future use.


  1. Click File menu, Save As.
  2. In the Save dialog box, select the CDT format from the Save as type list.
  3. Select the folder in which you want to save your template.
  4. Click Save.

You can use the Publishing To the Internet Wizard or the dialog box to publish your drawing of Web page to the Internet.


  1. Click the File menu, Publish to the Internet.
  2. Click the Use Internet Dialog button.
  3. Enable the HTML button in the Publish To Internet dialog box.
  4. Choose the folder in which you want to save your published HTML document from the HTML Folder list box.
  5. The default HTML folder is the folder that contains your source CorelDRAW document, but you can click the Browse button to select a different folder from the Select Directory dialog box, if desired.
  6. Click the Export All Pages button if you want to export all of the pages in a multipage Web document.
  7. Click the Options button to enable individual check boxes to set the Image options.
  8. Click OK.
