Master of Orion III DEMO - PCPP EXCLUSIVE [Yeah, baby!]

Here's the latest instalment in the Master of Orion game series. Be the first to get your hands on this HUGE demo and impress your friends. Pay particular attention to bagging out those who don't buy PCPP. We were originally going to put this on CD1 but then Unreal came along. So then we were going to put it on the DVD only under Spotlight but figured we'd probably p*ss a lot of people off. So here it is on CD2 in Mods. Don't whinge about the lack of mods now, ok? We had to find room somewhere!

If the developers at Quicksilver Software, Inc. have their way, you won't have much of a life soon after the New Year. As they continue to tweak and improve the latest addition to the much-respected Master of Orion series they vow that it could actually ruin your life.

"Our driving force is to dominate your life," says Bill Fisher, the project's executive producer. "We want you to play every night, and lose your job. We are aiming to be a cause for relationships to break up.".

From the developer...Master of Orion III is hard game to "grok," as Heinlein uses the word. Allow me to try to give you the short summary version of what we're trying to accomplish in the design of MOO3.

One Sentence Description: Master of Orion 3 (MOO3) is a deep, easy-playing strategic-level game evolving the Master of Orion series by modeling the story depth of science-fiction epics like those you've read and seen in the movies or on TV.

Longer Game Synopsis: "Space is big. Really big." So begins The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. But like the void of space, there is a void in strategic space games. None have provided the bigness, that focus on the highest levels of grand strategy, that science-fiction epics in print, film, and television have long delivered. So, to the traditional "4-X" strategy game of eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, and eXterminate, we are adding an important new fifth "X," eXperience. (Yep, it's a 5-X game!) Through game devices adding character, story, and plot to familiar strategy play mechanics, MOO3 will deliver the grandeur and richness of an epic space opera — not in the guise of a traditional book, movie, or TV show, but presented in the medium of a game experience.

Installation instructions:
It is highly recommended to exit ALL Windows programs before running this demo.

To play the game simply run the file called moo3_win32_x86_L9.exe from the following location - ../Files/MOO3/moo3_win32_x86_L9.exe - and be sure to read any and all info in the MOO3 folder before starting.

Invasion v2.31 Full
Invasion is a Quake 3 Mod in which marines fight against aliens.

There are 2 gamemodes :
- Destroy All Eggs (DAE) in which the Marines' goal is too seek & destroy all the Alien Eggs in the map
- Teleport The Egg (TTE) in which the Marines' goal is to find and bring back the Alien Egg to their Teleporter

The game is round based. The marines have to capture the flag before round end to win. Marines have only one life per round, so if they die, they must wait as spectators until the next round starts. If all marines die, then the aliens win the round.

The marines have good weapons and armor, the aliens have weak weapons and no armor, but they have special powers.

Note that Invasion is not a CTF game. Because the Aliens don't have anything to capture and Marines haven't anything to defend but their life and their mates, so the game is faster, deadlier and really scary.
