Installation

To install TPF 4.0 on a workstation with Windows NT/2000/XP you need to be logged in as administrator. If you do not have administrator rights to your computer please contact your network support team or the system administrator for your computer.

Installing via Electronic Software Distribution (ESD)

• Download the program.
• Unzip the files in some temporary directory.
• Run the SETUP.EXE file from the Windows Start menu with the Run command or double click the file in Windows Explorer.

The installation of TPF 4.0 will then automatically unpack all necessary files and start the Setup wizard, which will guide you through the installation. If you later want to change the settings, you can do so in the Administrator Tool. Please see the section entitled Installation, for a more detailed explanation.

License Agreement: Please read the license agreement carefully. If you choose not to accept the license agreement, the installation will be terminated.

Customer Information: Your name and organization should be automatically displayed in the fields. If they are not, please add them in the appropriate fields. Please enter the serial number. If you would not enter serial number TPF4 would install in the trial mode which lasts for 30 days.

Destination Folder: The Wizard asks you to choose a directory to which TPF should be installed. If you want to use another directory than the one proposed, click Change and change it.

Setup Type: You can choose Typical or Custom setup type. If you choose the Custom, the following screen is displayed. Choose the modules you want to install.

Restart: Its necessary to restart Windows to finish the installation
