Character Translation

Some browsers on platforms other than Microsoft Windows fail to successfully display certain special or foreign language characters. StudioLine will detect the visitorÆs browser and use alternate representations (see table below). If no feasible replacement is available for a particular browser, then a ô?ö or ô*ö is displayed.

Most of these characters are seldomly used and the effected browsers amount to less than 15% percentage of total web visitors. However, if authenticity is critical, then the text should be rendered as graphic. This will avoid any issues with incompatible character sets or code pages.
