Keyboard Shortcuts

Text Editor shortcuts may be found in the User Guide.

Workspace and Global Shortcuts

F1

Request context sensitive help on the current program object. If no object has the focus, then the Help table of content is displayed.

Ctrl + S

Saves current page.

Alt + F4

Exit program

Tab /
Shift + Tab

Jumps to the next or previous object on the page.
(Roll-Over processing is treated as a separate element.)

F5

Refreshes the current list in StudioLine Explorer

Alt + Enter

Displays the context menu for the selection
(The special Context Menu key on the Windows Keyboard is also supported).

Delete

Deletes the current selection.

Ctrl + A

Selects all objects.

Ctrl + Mouse Click

Toggles the selection.
(The object is either added or removed from the selection.)

Shift + Mouse Click

Adds the object to the selection.

Right Mouse Click /
Shift + Right Mouse Click

Opens the context menu for the object currently under the mouse pointer.

Ctrl + Right Mouse Click

Opens the context menu for the current selection.

Ctrl + C

Copies the current selection to the system clipboard (Copy).

Ctrl + X

Moves the current selection to the system clipboard (Cut).

Ctrl + V

Pastes the content of the system clipboard (Paste).

Ctrl + Z

Undo

Ctrl + Y

Redo

Ctrl + J

Joins multiple text objects into one.

Ctrl + H

Toggles the display of the selector band.

Ctrl + G

Toggles the display of object status icons.

Ctrl + L

Locks layout objects so they canÆt be selected or moved accidentally.

Ctrl + N

Displays or hides the Container.

Arrow Keys

Moves the current selection in the direction of the arrow by one pixel.
(Press and hold the Shift key to move the current selection 10 pixels at a time.)

Panel Shortcuts

Esc

When used with a text fields: Reverts the text field to the content it had before any key was pressed and exits the field.
When used on a message box: Equivalent to Cancel button.

Shift + Esc

Used for panels with text fields.
Reverts the text field to the content it had before any key was pressed.

Tab /
Shift + Tab

Jumps to the next or previous field.

Listbox Shortcuts

Cursor Up / Cursor Down

Scroll list by one item.

Page Up / Page Down

Scroll a full page.

[keyboard input]

Scrolls the list to an item that starts with the input characters.

Enter

In a hierarchical list, opens the next hierarchy (where appropriate).

Backspace

In a hierarchical list, opens the previous hierarchy (where appropriate).
