It incorporates and supports all the latest technologies available on the Web, including Java, Dynamic HTML, XML and Active Channels. IE5 features a new Radio Toolbar which allows you listen to music and news broadcasts from around the world, and a new AutoComplete feature which automatically fills out Web forms when you type partial URLs into the address box. Other features include: a customisable toolbar, support for multiple users, enhanced searching and offline browsing, better cross-platform support, and the ability to install and run IE 4.x and IE 5.0 on the same machine. above for IE5 must be run directly from this CD. Do not
download the above file to your hard drive. Click on the
appropriate link above and choose Open or Run from current location to
begin installation. Alternatively, Win 95/98 users can run the file ie.exe
from the \browsers\win95\msoft\ie5 directory. Win 3.1
users can run the file cdsetup.exe from the
\browsers\win31\ie5 directory Note: If you are running a beta version of IE5, then you should uninstall it before installing this final release. |
