Setting Up Your Connection Using The Internet Wizard Instructions For Windows 95 Users

Once you have registered with TPG Internet and have received your verified Username and Password, the next step is to configure your Computer to Dial Into TPG Internet to Access the Internet. Following are manual instructions to complete this. Please Note: This is recommended for experienced users only and for Windows 95. This example uses Sydney Numbers replace these with appropriate location details.

To start setting up your Internet account:

i) Click on the Start Menu button located on the lower left-hand side of the desktop.

ii) Select Programs then Select Accessories then Select Internet Tools then Select Get on the Internet.

iii) The Internet Connection Wizard Get Connected! Dialog box will be opened. Click on Next to continue.
iv) The Internet Connection Wizard Setup Options Dialog box will be opened. Select Manual then Click on Next.
v) The Welcome to Internet Setup! Dialog Box will open. Click on Next to continue.
vi) The How to Connect Dialog Box will open. Select Connect using my phone line. Click on Next to continue.
vii) The Service Provider Information Dialog Box will come up next asking for Name of Service Provider: Enter TPG Internet. Click on Next to continue.
viii) The Phone Number Dialog Box will come up next. Enter the Area code: 02 the Telephone number: 9887 8800 and Country Code: Australia (61). Make sure the Bring up terminal window after dialing box is ticked. Click on Next to continue.

Please Note: Phone Numbers will appear on your Information Sheet provided on receipt of registration.

ix) The User Name and Password Dialog Box will come up next. Enter your User name and your Password. Click on Next to continue.
x) The IP Address Dialog Box will come up next. Select My Internet Service Provider automatically assigns me one. Click on Next to continue.
xi) The DNS Server Address Dialog Box will come up next. Enter your DNS Server: 203.12.160.35 and Alternate DNS Server: 203.12.160.36 addresses. Click on Next to continue.
xii) The Internet Mail Dialog Box will come up next. Enter Your E-mail address: loginname@tpg.com.au and your Internet Mail Server: syd-mail.tpg.com.au. Click on Next to continue.
xiii) The Windows Messaging Profile Dialog Box will come up next. It should say Profile: Internet Mail Settings. Click on Next to continue.
The Complete configuration Dialog Box will come up finally. Click Finish to complete the installation.
