NMap (short for Network Mapper) is a small command line applet that will perform a scan of one or more hosts on your network, searching for any ports that may be of interest.

A set of packet capture and network analysis libraries that are similar to Unix's libpcap. Included is a kernel-level packet filter and system-independant library that allows many applications to perform packet-based operations on a Windows system using Unix techniques.
