This is the latest version of Microsoft's full-featured Web browser. It incorporates and supports all the latest technologies available on the Web. Internet Explorer 6.0 includes many new and enhanced features that can simplify the daily tasks you perform while helping maintain the privacy of your personal information on the Web. It also includes advanced security features, such as the Cookie control feature and the Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P).
Customisation
The Internet Explorer distribution on the APC CD has been customised
to load www.apcstart.com/runonce
on first opening the browser, then it will revert to your regular homepage,
if you have one, on each subsequent use. Also the APC Web sites
are added to the Favourites list. These can be deleted by right clicking
on them. These are the only differences between the customised version
of Internet Explorer on the APC CD and the one available for download
from the Microsoft Web site.

Install
instructions The installation must be run directly from the CD.
Select Open or Run this program from its current location, then close
all running applications. Disable your virus scanner and firewall during
installation. Alternatively run the file X:/brows/files/ie6/ie6setup.exe,
where X represents your CD-ROM drive letter.
