AntiVir PE (Personal Edition) gives effective protection against computer viruses for individual and private use on a single PC-workstation. It detects and removes more than 50,000 viruses and has an Internet-Update Wizard for easy updating. Heuristic scanning protects against previously unknown macro viruses.

Stinger is a standalone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses. It's not a substitute for full antivirus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an infected system. It utilises McAfee scan engine technology, including process scanning, digitally signed DAT files and scan performance optimisations. It detects more than 40 viruses, trojans and variants.

Symantec's Norton AntiVirus 2004 protects email, instant messages and other files by automatically removing viruses, worms and Trojans. New built-in features also detect certain non-virus threats such as spyware and keystroke loggers.
