• Make sure you change the smtp host in the pppshar Settings (Start-->Programs-->PPPshar Pro--> Settings) to your smtp host as described below.
• locate the service #smtp in the settings and change host=mail.server.net to your SMTP HOST NAME.(outgoing mail server address. eg: host=mail.ibm.net Consult your ISP or refer gateway machine settings to find out your smtp host.

Microsoft Outlook Express

• Go to "Tools-->Accounts"
• Click "Mail" tab
• Select the account and click "Properties"
• Click "Servers" tab
• Under "Server Information"
  • Outgoing Mail (SMTP): gateway machine IP
  • Incoming Mail (POP3): gateway machine IP
• Under "Incoming mail server"
  • Account Name: username#pop3server.com ( Replace pop3server.com with your actual POP3 server like pop.ibm.net. Consult your ISP or refer gateway machine settings to find out your pop3 host. (note the # sign. Do not use @ ) Ex: username#server.ibm.net where server.ibm.net is your pop3 server. )
  • Password: Your password
• Leave other options to its default.
