With QuickBooks you can track all your financial information, from invoices and bills to inventory and purchase orders. Track who owes you money and what you owe. You can print checks, invoices or automate email invoices. QuickBooks has over 100 reports and graphs provide an overview of your business at any time.

QuickBooks comes with 33 templates letters that can be used optionally with the QuickBooks program. There are standard letters covering responses to clients whose cheques have bounced, notification of change of address, denials of credit applications, credit requests and even client birthday well-wishes. To create a letter, begin by using the QuickBooks Write Letters wizard (from the Company menu), where you'll specify choices for letter types, lists of recipients, and other information.

Sitting on the more advanced end of the scale, Sage Line 50 has the facility to produce both product and service invoices. It includes full stock management, email reports, BAS reporting. It can also automatically informsyou how many products you could make with your stock levels, and at what price. The Financial Controller part of the program provides full accounting functionality for sales and purchase order processing, quotations and pro-forma invoices, sales order fulfilment and more. You can record details of the conversations you with your customers within the customer record. If you charge for tour time, you can even create an invoice to charge for telephone calls.
