APC magazine has three equally important parts: our print edition for our good read; a Web sitefor timeliness, interactivity and depth; and this cover CD for fast, easy access to the best software and resources from the Internet.

All three components are designed to work together to deliver the most useful and interesting magazine possible.

You don't need to be connected to the Internet to use this cover CD or access the more than 640M of software included. It is completely self-contained, but we have provided links to Web sites where useful for those users with Internet connections. These include links to the major sections of our own site, http://apcmag.com. All links to locations on the Internet -- as opposed to elsewhere on this CD -- are marked with a symbol.

Our cover CD has two aims. The first is to make the magazine more useful by providing fast access to the resources and software we discuss in each issue so you can easily try them out yourself. The second is to collect all the best stuff -- software, samples, templates and other resources -- available on the Web and place it on the CD each month, saving you the time and money it would otherwise take to find and download it all.

We also hope to use this CD to increase our interaction with readers. If you have any suggestions, complaints or comments, we'd love to hear them. Either email us at apc@acptech.net, or fill out our online Feedback form. If there is software you would like us to include, you can request that too.
