Red Hat Linux 6.2

Red Hat Linux 6.2 Updates for Intel

The Red Hat Linux updates are located on APC October CD 1. The archive included on APC CD 1 represents updates from the RedHat FTP site. The files on APC CD 1 are RPM files, making them easy to install. They exist as they appeared on the Red Hat FTP site at the time of production.

The easiest way to view, upgrade or install the packages is to use a package manager such as the Glint (Graphical Package Manager). For Red Hat Linux 6.2, after mounting APC CD 1, configure Glint to look at <cdromdevice>/patch/redhat. Alternatively you may wish to use rpm -ivh <package name> to install or rpm -Uvh <package name>, to upgrade from the shell.

More information on these packages, as well as source code, can be found at: http://www.redhat.com

Caldera OpenLinux 2.3

Caldera OpenLinux 2.3 Updates

The Caldera OpenLinux updates are located on APC October CD 1. The RPM files in the /patch/caldera directory of APC CD 1 are current updates downloaded from Caldera's FTP site. These files represent the updates located in the 'current' updates directory at ftp.calderasystems.com at the time of publishing.

To install the Caldera OpenLinux updates on APC CD 1 use rpm -ivh <package name> or rpm -Uvh <package name>, to upgrade from the shell. If you are using an RPM package manager to install or upgrade, please configure it to use the directory <cdromdevice>/patch/caldera/.
