Presuming everything else is fine, you've received subscription confirmation, have a username/password, etc. The trouble almost always has to do with a corrupt cached file in the AOL Browser. This is a very, very common problem with that browser and the following procedure should be done ocassionally anyway to avoid further problems.
By the way, "cached" or stored files, are used by the browser to "remember" what the page looked like the last time it was there. This is done to speed things up. If that page has changed, which of course it does a lot at TGF, the poor thing can get confused. That's why you need to clean out these files from time to time.
You will see a list of 9 icons and one has the word WWW underneath it.
Click on that
It will pop up something that says AOL Internet Properties. You will see a row of tabs across the top.
Press on the one labeled "Advanced"
One of the items on the screen is "Temporary Internet Files" You will see two buttons, one labelled "Settings"
Click on Settings.
Another window will open up labelled Settings. You will do two tasks here:
1. You will see an item that says "Check for Newer Versions of Stored Pages: Every visit to the Page?" Click the little circle there so that it turns black.
2. To clear your "cache", hit button that says "Empty Folder" You will be asked to "Delete all files in the Temporary Internet Files folder?" Push the button that says yes.
These actions hurt nothing and should clear up the problem, if a corrupted file is what is causing your trouble...
