Look At That!

How many times have we looked at a young child that was dressed in baggy pants, underwear sticking out the back, two different bright colored socks on and say "look at how stupid he looks"? When we look at others we tend to judge them by their appearance. How about the over-weight girl at the beach in a small bikini, the punk rocker with the orange hair do that sticks straight up, well saturated with mouse? The people wearing the ball caps backwards, and the guy wearing the dress!

Yes, most of us have looked at our fellow beings and passed the instant judgment. If you have never don this, then I salute you, but I expect I would be saluting very few if any out there.

How can we as transgendered men and women expect anything different from those people, or others. How about jokes about how someone looks, or gay jokes, or jokes about crossdressers. Yes, they are all the same, cruel to some. We as a community must find the strength to come above all of this if we expect to be accepted. We must learn to accept others as we want to be accepted.

The attitude of the few will rub off on the many if we make it a positive one. Stop laughing at jokes about others, just walk away. Stop looking at people and seeing how odd they may appear, instead, look for the good in them and comment on that.

We are one people, some black, some white, some men, some woman. All of us fit into many categories that have been set up through time. We need to make that one category, not many, and unit to be one people. Gay, Lesbian, Straight, TV, TS, CD, what ever. Titles are only used to eliminate and to isolate people.

The children of the world have had a good idea, lets all join hands and be one with each other. I have not reached the ability to look at all and only see the good, it takes a lot of work and concentration. I just feel that if I do not want to be prejudged, then I should not do it to others.
