Write To The Heart

TGFs "bulletin board". Can you be a cross-dresser and be straight? Someone doesn't think so. Take a look. You wanted direct Reader input. You got it. This is our low tech answer to Usenet. We gather up all your posts and put them all together for everyone to read. It's sorta like a BBS, except we have to put the thing together by hand.

Our Time Has Arrived

There are a lot of great things happening in the transgender community, from new laws protecting us from discrimination, to better ties to the gay/lesbian/bisexual community and an improving image in society. And even better times are ahead, especially as we continue to communicate and learn more about each other.



Why We're Here

Our goal is to make the The Transgender Forum another vehicle in this process of growth and change by providing you with information, photos, news, "how-to" articles and entertainment. We want your time here to be well-spent and enjoyable.

This is a big community with widely divergent interests and we will do our best to provide as wide a spectrum of materials as we can. Drop me a line with your comments. We do want to know how we're doing.

This project is being done in cooperation with San Francisco's ETVC, the world's largest single chapter transgender organization.

A Word About Advertising/Commercial Sites

TGF is a private venture that is being produced in cooperation with ETVC, a non-profit organization. By agreement, ETVC will receive a 15% share of any profits generated by commercial activity here.

Paid advertising of an appropriate nature is now being accepted on the Forum, just as it is accepted by the many newsletters and magazines published by commercial and nonprofit entities associated with the transgender community. Advertising is NOT allowed on any electronic mail distributions emanating from TGF.

Rates are extremely reasonable. For further information send an E-Mail Inquiry and we'll happily fill you in.

So What is ETVC and Who Is Cindy Martin ?

The last thing I want is for the TG Forum to turn into a "vanity press" for me or anyone else, but I also understand the need to establish some credibility. I'm the past president (1992-94) of ETVC in San Francisco, the largest single chapter transgender organization in the world. I'm also that body's past newsletter editor (1988-1991), and former director of ETVC's National Transgender Anti-Defamation Project. I've served as ETVC's representative to the Congress of Transgender Organizations (1992-94). Though the TG Forum is my project, I work in close contact with the ETVC Executive Committee.
