Stacy Clement

Stacy M. Clement is a doctoral candidate in Humanistic Psychology at the Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco. She will have her research and dissertation write complete before the end of this calendar year. She lives full-time and works as Health Systems Analyst for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center in Hollywood where she seeks funding sources, assures quality management, and carries on the paper work end of seeking accreditiation for the Clinical components of the Center. Roberta Angela Dee

Roberta Angela Dee was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up on Long Island. She graduated with a degree in journalism and immediately began living as a woman at the age of 25 years. Roberta has opted not to have sex reassignment surgery (SRS). As she says, "I'm a woman in mind, heart, and spirit. That's all that matters. Pam DeGroff

Pam has been involved in the Transgendered community since 1993. Her background includes several years of Bible College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, plus a five year stint as the bass guitarist for the Christian rock band, Petra. She toured North America extensively in several other musical groups before moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 1987. She continues her musical pursuits as a song writer and instrumentalist. She became an active member of the Tennessee Vals six months after the group was formed in December of 1992. She is a past board member, serving as treasurer for several years, and began writing her humor column, called "Left Of Center", in 1995. So how does Pam view her involvement in the gender community as a writer? "I've always believed it's a sign of healthy self-esteem," she says, "to be able to laugh at yourself, and not be so deadly serious all the time." Lee Etscovitz

Dr. Lee Etscovitz owns and operates Human Dimensions, an instructional service in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Dr. Etscovitz received her bachelor's degree in English and American literature from Brown University and her master's and doctorate in educational philosophy and human relations from Boston University. She was in the field of education for twenty years, mostly as a professor of education and human relations. She is a Fellow of the Philosophy of Education Society and has published in the field of educational philosophy. She is also national librarian for the Renaissance Education Association and is a contributing editor for Renaissance News and Views. On a more personal level, Lee is a preoperative transsexual whose name is now legally correct, who lives and works full time as the woman she is, and whose gender story is gradually told each month in her Transgender Forum column, Making Sense of It All.

Julie Freeman is a significant other who has been active in the gender community for over nine years, particularly with significant others and couples groups. Angela Gardner

Angela Gardner is a founding member of Reniassance and has been Editor of Renaissance News & Views for several years. She got her first computer a few short years ago but has become an active Web Bunny who will go online at the most tentative cry of "surf's up!" Her female friends have told her she's, "such a girl" and she's not sure if that's a compliment of not, but that's how she took it. When she's not eating bon bons and filing her nails she's wearing expensive clothes (that she bargain shopped for) and lunching at exquisite little bistros in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pa. Diane Kaye

Diane currently writes a monthly column on consumer products for "us" girls. Diane's interests include her music writing which she hopes to put into her own CD, shopping with other girls, and learning about new life experiences. Vanessa and Linda Kaye have been active in the transgendered community for some time. Linda has been the president of several support groups, board member of Tri-Ess (The Society for the Second Self); IFGE (International Foundation for Gender Education); first chairperson of Southern Comfort Conference, as well as a founder and organizer of S.P.I.C.E. (Spouses/Partners International Conference for Education). Judy Osborne writes on politics for TGF in her monthly column "The Art of Politics". She is a refugee from Boston, settled in Seattle in the 70ís. Elizabeth Parker is a software designer in her early 40's. She has been obsessed with reading fiction from an early age. Bobbi Swan has been a crossdresser since puberty that never had a real chance to dress until the middle to later stage of a very busy career in the aviation industry. Andee lives outside Washington DC with her spouse and two children, and writes a monthly column, Footprints from the Past, on letters or articles that have been published in the mainstream media on transgender subjects. Jami Ward is a 50+ year old (born June 20, 1948 - figure it out) native Texan. She spent 9 years in the U.S. Navy's submarine service and has been in some form of the computer business for the past 20 years. George Wilkerson (a.k.a. Bobbi Jo Williams)

Bobbi has been active in the TG community for many years; her column has appeared here (under her real name) for more than 18 months. Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, George completed his Ph.D. in Education at the University of Texas in Austin; that's where Bobbi was born.
