Jessica Brandon
Born, raised and still living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jessica

Stacy Clement
Stacy M. Clement is a doctoral candidate in Humanistic Psychology at the
Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco. She will have her research and
dissertation write complete before the end of this calendar year. She
lives full-time and works as Health Systems Analyst for the Los Angeles
Gay and Lesbian Center in Hollywood where she seeks funding sources,
assures quality management, and carries on the paper work end of seeking
accreditiation for the Clinical components of the Center. She is also
embarked on getting an in-house transgender care protocol established.

Roberta Angela Dee
Roberta Angela Dee was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up on Long Island. She
graduated with a degree in journalism and immediately began living as a woman
at the age of 25 years. Roberta has opted not to have sex reassignment
surgery (SRS). As she says, "I'm a woman in mind, heart, and spirit. That's
all that matters. They can cut things off, paste things on, or reconfugure
my body parts, if you're a woman, you're a woman. Period"

Pam DeGroff
Pam has been involved in the Transgendered community since 1993. Her background includes several years of Bible College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, plus a five year stint as the bass guitarist for the Christian rock band, Petra. She toured North America extensively in several other musical groups before moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 1987. She continues her musical pursuits as a song writer and instrumentalist. She became an active member of the Tennessee Vals six months after the group was formed in December of 1992. She is a past board member, serving as treasurer for several years, and began writing her humor column, called "Left Of Center", in 1995. So how does Pam view her involvement in the gender community as a writer? "I've always believed it's a sign of healthy self-esteem," she says, "to be able to laugh at yourself, and not be so deadly serious all the time." Hebe Dotson
Hebe, the Greek goddess of youth, is looking forward to her 4000th
birthday in 2000. Sheís interested in many things, some of which sheís
written about in TGF. Married with two grown children, she has a PhD in a

Lee Etscovitz
Dr. Lee Etscovitz owns and operates Human Dimensions, an instructional service in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Dr. Etscovitz received her bachelor's degree in English and American literature from Brown University and her master's and doctorate in educational philosophy and human relations from Boston University. She was in the field of education for twenty years, mostly as a professor of education and human relations. She is a Fellow of the Philosophy of Education Society and has published in the field of educational philosophy. She is also national librarian for the Renaissance Education Association and is a contributing editor for Renaissance News and Views. On a more personal level, Lee is a preoperative transsexual whose name is now legally correct, who lives and works full time as the woman she is, and whose gender story is gradually told each month in her Transgender Forum column, Making Sense of It All.
Julie Freeman
Julie Freeman is a significant other who has been active in the gender community for over nine
years, particularly with significant others and couples groups. Julie is a regular columnist for

Angela Gardner
Angela Gardner is a founding member of Reniassance and has been Editor
of Renaissance News & Views for several years. She got her first
computer a few short years ago but has become an active Web Bunny who
will go online at the most tentative cry of "surf's up!"
Her female friends have told her she's, "such a girl" and she's not
sure if that's a compliment of not, but that's how she took it. When
she's not eating bon bons and filing her nails she's wearing expensive
clothes (that she bargain shopped for) and lunching at exquisite
little bistros in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pa. "Yo Tony! Gimme a
cheesesteak, with!"Angela also does editing at LadyLike Magazine and has appeared as a drag
queen on the British sicom, "Absolutely Fabulous."
Gianna E. Israel
Gianna E. Israel is a transgender woman who maintains a private practice as a
gender-specializing counselor. She has provided nationwide telephone
consultation, individual counseling, and gender-specialized evaluations
and recommendations since 1988. She also provides expert services in
child-custody and legal-forensic mental health cases. Ms. Israel is

Diane Hutchinson
Diane Hutchinson resides in New Jersey and she is currently the
vice-president of Monmouth Ocean Transgendered (MOTG). Along with her
S.O. Mary she likes going out on the town and is especially fond of their
day long shopping trips. Diane also enjoys collecting old magazines,
photos, books and other items that have transgendered themes. Diane

Diane Kaye
Diane currently writes a monthly column on consumer products for "us"
girls. Diane's interests include her music writing which she hopes to put
into her own CD, shopping with other girls, and learning about new life
experiences. She has an interest in human psychology and finds the gender
community rich with interesting and lovely folks from all areas of the
community. Being a good observer of others has helped her blend into

Vanessa & Linda Kaye
Vanessa and Linda Kaye have been active in the transgendered community for
some time. Linda has been the president of several support groups, board
member of Tri-Ess (The Society for the Second Self); IFGE (International
Foundation for Gender Education); first chairperson of Southern Comfort
Conference, as well as a founder and organizer of S.P.I.C.E.
(Spouses/Partners International Conference for Education). Vanessa is a

Judy Osborne
Judy Osborne writes on politics for TGF in her monthly column "The Art of Politics". She is a refugee from Boston, settled in Seattle in the 70ís.
Though she adores both cities, Seattle holds her heart as the most
transgender-friendly place anywhere. After spending most of her career in
television broadcasting, Judy opened a restaurant. Recently, sixteen years
later, she closed the restaurant and began easing into retirement. Judy

Elizabeth Parker
Elizabeth Parker is a software designer in her early 40's. She has been
obsessed with reading fiction from an early age. She learned to play the
piano at 4, and was training to be a concert cellist until she realized it
was taking too much time away from her reading. So she settled for her
second, yet more lucrative career interest, computers and mathematics.
She is a divorcÈe, with two children. To keep from becoming a bookish

Bobbi Swan
Bobbi Swan has been a crossdresser since puberty that never had a real
chance to dress until the middle to later stage of a very busy career in
the aviation industry. She has been an executive engineer and now in her
'later' life loves to say that, "my clothes are in the closet, not me!"
Bobbi's first youthful experence at crossdressing occurred when she
dressed in the family maid's uniforms a fetish and fantasy she loves to

Andee W
Andee lives outside Washington DC with her spouse and two children, and
writes a monthly column, Footprints from the Past, on letters or articles
that have been published in the mainstream media on transgender subjects.
She has also written some special articles on first person transgender
experiences. Her interests include reading, aerobic dance, running,
swimming, biking and skiing. Andee is on a constant quest to learn,
beginning with one of the first computer science programs at the high
school level in the 1960s, and continuing through BS and MBA programs, and
works for a large organization supporting strategic planning for financial

Jami Ward
Jami Ward is a 50+ year old (born June 20, 1948 - figure it out) native
Texan. She spent 9 years in the U.S. Navy's submarine service and has been
in some form of the computer business for the past 20 years. She has
traveled extensively and is more than slightly warped in both her outlook
on life and her sense of humor, which can be seen in her standup comedy

Bobbi has been active in the TG community for many years; her column has appeared here (under her real name) for more than 18
months. Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, George completed his Ph.D. in Education at the University of Texas in Austin; that's where
